Oti Region: Fetish Priest Arrested As Police Discover Body Of Missing Contractor In Septic Pit At Nkwanta.

The Nkwanta South Police Command in the Oti Region has arrested a fetish priest in connection with the alleged murder of a contractor who went missing two years ago.

The suspect, Osman Imoro, 37, was arrested on October 15, 2026, by community surveillance members and handed over to the police for his alleged involvement in the death of Daniel Bijadom, 35.

Daniel Bijadom, a contractor, was reported missing from his residence on October 16, 2023.

Police investigations led to the discovery of parts of his remains buried in a septic pit at Tuobodom, a suburb of Nkwanta township.

The suspect is currently in police custody at the Nkwanta South Police Command, assisting investigations.

Police say investigations are ongoing and the suspect will be processed for court after investigations are concluded.
