One Year Of Empowerment And Progress: Northern Sisters Association Supports Pupils In Nakpanduri With 5,000 Exercise Books

One Year Of Empowerment And Progress: Northern Sisters Association Supports Pupils In Nakpanduri With 5,000 Exercise Books.

As part of their one-year anniversary celebration, the Northern Sisters Association has donated 5,000 exercise books to pupils of Nakpanduri K.B and Najon No.1 JHS Schools in the North East Region.

The donation forms part of activities lined up to commemorate the association’s first anniversary, which is being celebrated under the theme of empowerment, unity and giving back to society.

Speaking during the presentation, the President of the Association, Her Excellency Vida Bagbin, said the one-year anniversary celebration represents one year of strengthening bonds, empowering people, and making progress, particularly among young girls and women from the north.

She explained that the decision to donate exercise books as part of the anniversary celebration was inspired by her own difficult childhood experiences, when she could not afford exercise books and had to divide one exercise book into different portions for different subjects.

According to her, the gesture is a way of giving back to society and to encourage pupils never to be demotivated, but to be inspired with the spirit of “I can do it if others passed through and made it.”

Madam Bagbin urged the pupils to remain focused, study hard, and believe in their potential to succeed despite their background.

Headteachers and pupils of the beneficiary schools expressed profound gratitude to the Northern Sisters Association for choosing their schools as part of its anniversary celebration, noting that the donation will significantly support teaching and learning.
