THINK BEFORE YOU POST – YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA CAN DESTROY YOUR FUTURE, APOSTLE AHENKAN WARNS YOUTH

The General Overseer of Emmanuel Salvation Church International, Senior Apostle Anthony Ahenkan, has issued a strong warning to Ghanaian youth to be circumspect about their activities on social media, stating that a single reckless post can destroy their future.

Speaking in an interview with the media at Mim in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region, the Man of God said although social media is useful for business promotion, brand building and evangelism, its abuse is becoming dangerous among young people.

Apostle Ahenkan cautioned that the internet never forgets, and what people post today for fame and followers could haunt them tomorrow.

“Social media keeps records, so imagine you posted your naked videos or photos just to get followers today and you get an appointment to hold high political office with your naked videos or photos circulating on social media, how will you feel?” he said.

He added that the danger is not only physical and reputational but also spiritual.

According to him, evil people can use pictures, videos and even comments people make on social media for spiritual attacks.

“Spiritually, witches and wizards can use social media to destroy your life. Even your comment under people’s post can hurt you so don’t just post anything. Be extra careful,” he warned.

Apostle Ahenkan expressed concern over the growing trend of youth posting nude content, insults, and engaging in fraud and unnecessary online arguments in search of quick popularity.

He urged the youth to use the platform positively and called on parents, pastors, and opinion leaders to intensify education on responsible social media use.

“Though it is good to be on social media because it helps promote one’s brand and showcase good things, it needs extra caution since it has negative impact if not used properly,” he emphasized.
