Old Atwene Electoral Area Commends Offinso North MP For Timely Intervention To Clear Health Threat At Bantama.
Residents of the Old Atwene Electoral Area have expressed their profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, for his timely intervention in clearing a huge refuse dump at Bantama.
According to the residents, the refuse dump had become a serious health threat to the entire electoral area, with the stench and breeding of disease-causing organisms putting lives at risk, especially children and the aged.
In a statement issued on behalf of the electoral area, the residents disclosed that Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, out of his own generosity and love for community development, single-handedly financed and supervised the clearing of the site without any assistance from the District Assembly.
“On behalf of the entire Old Atwene Electoral Area, we wish to express our profound gratitude to Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, our MP, for his timely intervention.
Out of his own generosity and love for community, he has helped to clear a huge refuse dump in our electoral area, Bantama to be precise, which had become a serious health threat to residents.”
The statement further praised the MP for his selflessness and commitment to grassroots development.
“We are deeply grateful for his kindness, selflessness and commitment to community development. You have shown true leadership and love for your people. May God richly bless you,” the statement added.
Residents are calling on other well-meaning individuals and authorities to emulate the MP’s example to ensure a clean and healthy environment for all.
