JAMAN SOUTH MP CUTS SOD FOR 4-UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK AT JEPEKROM T.I. AHMADIYYA SCHOOL

The Member of Parliament for Jaman South Constituency, Hon. Colonel Kwadwo Damoah (Rtd), has cut sod for the construction of a 4-unit classroom block for the T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic School at Jepekrom in the Jaman South District of the Bono Region.

The project is expected to replace the school’s deteriorated infrastructure and improve teaching and learning conditions for pupils and teachers.

Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Hon. Damoah reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Jaman South, stressing that fulfilling promises made to constituents is key to building trust and confidence.

He noted that his intervention in the education sector is part of broader efforts to improve livelihoods in the constituency and to make the New Patriotic Party (NPP) more attractive to Ghanaians ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The Omanhene of Jepekrom Traditional Area, Nana Aturu Nkonkonkyia II, commended the MP for his swift response to the community’s appeal.

According to him, the T.I. Ahmadiyya School, which has existed for over 46 years, has seen its infrastructure deteriorate badly over the years.

Nana Aturu Nkonkonkyia II disclosed that he drew the MP’s attention to the deplorable state of the school, and in less than three weeks, the MP honoured his promise to provide a new classroom block.

On his part, the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Ofori Sylvester, expressed surprise and excitement at the sod-cutting exercise. He said the gesture was timely and would greatly enhance academic work.

While expressing gratitude to the MP and the traditional leadership of Jepekrom for their support, Mr. Ofori appealed for more assistance, noting that the school still faces other infrastructure deficits.

Construction work on the project is expected to commence immediately.
