Sumaila Zakari (Abidal) Declares Bid for Offinso South NDC Youth Organizer.

Offinso South-Youth activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sumaila Zakari, popularly known as Hon. Abidal, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Youth Organizer for Offinso South.

In a statement addressed to Branch Executives, Delegates, Party Elders and the general membership of the party, Mr. Zakari said his decision was taken with profound humility, gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility to the NDC.

He explained that his ambition is motivated by an unwavering commitment to the values and principles of the party, coupled with a passion for youth development, grassroots mobilization, empowerment and securing total victory for the NDC.

Mr. Zakari is no stranger to party organization. Over the years, he has served the NDC in various capacities, beginning from his days in the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) where he rose to become Deputy Organizer and later Organizer at the Offinso College of Education.

He has also served as Branch Secretary for Samproso M/A JHS 1 and as Polling Agent for the same polling station in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 general elections.

His service further extends to his role as Young Cadres Coordinator for Offinso South, Deputy Youth Organizer for the constituency from 2018 to 2022 and continuing in the same capacity from 2022 to date.

He has been a member of the party’s Communication Team since 2014 and served as Zonal Campaign Coordinator for Abofour during the 2024 General Elections Campaign.

According to him, these experiences have afforded him the opportunity to contribute his time, energy and resources toward strengthening the party’s base and advancing its electoral efforts.

Mr. Zakari stressed that he believes leadership is about service, sacrifice, accountability and dedication to a common cause.

He assured delegates that with their confidence and support, he will serve faithfully, transparently and tirelessly.

He has therefore humbly appealed to all delegates and party faithful to rally behind his candidature with their prayers, encouragement and votes.

Running on the motto “Uniting the Youth for Victory,” Mr. Zakari pledged to build a stronger, more united and more victorious youth front capable of delivering lasting success for the NDC in Offinso South.
