Unidentified Man’s Decomposed Body Found Hanging On Tree At Moowire

The decomposed body of an unidentified man believed to be about 40 years old has been discovered hanging from a tree on a farm at Moowire, near Kodie in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.

The body was reportedly found on Saturday, October 11, 2026, several days after the man is believed to have died.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, with some residents suspecting suicide while others believe he may have been killed by unknown assailants.

Speaking to OTEC News reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng, a resident identified as Appiah said a farmer discovered the body while visiting his farm.

According to him, the relevant authorities and security officials were immediately notified following the discovery.

He added that environmental officers and police personnel subsequently visited the scene to assess the situation and commence investigations into the incident.

The body was later removed from the scene for burial after traditional leaders performed customary rites, including the pouring of libation, to pacify the community.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown, and the exact circumstances surrounding his death have yet to be established.

Police have since commenced investigations.
