CENTRAL REGION IS OUR VICTORY LAUNCHPAD – REV. NTIM FORDJOUR RALLIES NPP DELEGATES IN MFANTSEMAN

Tensions and expectations are high in Mfantseman as delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) converge for the Central Regional Executive Elections.

Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, the Member of Parliament for Assin South and former Deputy Minister for Education, Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has issued a strong rallying call to party faithful, declaring the Central Region as the launchpad for the NPP’s victory in 2028.

Addressing the press, Rev. Ntim Fordjour described the ongoing regional elections as one of the most crucial internal exercises in the party’s recent history, with far-reaching implications for its internal governance and national electoral fortunes.

He urged delegates to rise above personal interests and parochial considerations, and elect leaders with the capacity, commitment and grassroots appeal to re-energize the party’s base.

“The decisions we make here today will shape the future of our great party. We must choose leaders who can reinvigorate our rank and file and restore confidence at the grassroots,” he stated.

The Assin South legislator stressed that the Central Region remains a major political battleground and a key barometer for national elections. He noted that reclaiming lost parliamentary seats and curing voter apathy in the region must be top priorities for the new executives.

According to him, the party must be strategic in presenting winnable candidates who resonate with ordinary people and embody the values and vision of the NPP.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Rev. Fordjour expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s leadership and delegates, asserting that a united and formidable NPP, anchored by a strong Central Region, will pave the way for a resounding victory in the 2028 general elections.

The Central Regional Executive Elections continue in Mfantseman with heavy security and supervision by the Electoral Commission and national party officers.
