Patience Aboagye Declares Bid for GNMTA-ASHBA Financial Secretary Position on “Trust Agenda” Platform.
ASHANTI, BONO, BONO EAST & AHAFO REGIONS– Trainee nurse and midwife Patience Adowaa Aboagye has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of Financial Secretary of the Ghana Nurse-Midwife Trainee Association, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions [GNMTA-ASHBA].
In her statement addressed to colleagues, delegates, and fellow trainees across the four regions, Aboagye called for a new era of accountability and transparency within the association.
“This is our moment to build a more accountable, transparent, and progressive ASHBA — one where every trainee is valued, every voice matters, and every pesewa serves a purpose,” she said.
Aboagye, running on the TRUST AGENDA, said her leadership philosophy centers on service over promises.
“My name is Patience Adowaa Aboagye, and I believe that great leadership is not measured by promises, but by accountability, transparency, and service,” she stated.
Her campaign theme, “PROPOSITUM PER PECUNIAM”– Latin for -“PURPOSE THROUGH FINANCE”– underscores her commitment to ensuring that every cedi entrusted to leadership delivers tangible impact for trainees.
“This is more than numbers. It is about trust. It is about impact. It is about building an ASHBA that is accountable, progressive, and student-centered,” she explained.
Aboagye emphasized that funds managed by the association must directly advance the welfare and progress of trainees across the zone. She urged members to back her bid to deliver a financial office that is transparent and responsive to student needs.
“It is upon this conviction that I, Patience Adowaa Aboagye, officially declare my intent to contest for the position of Financial Secretary of GNMTA-ASHBA,” she declared.
“The TRUST AGENDA is on. I ask for your support. Together, we will build and deliver an ASHBA that is progressive, transparent, student-centered, and worthy of the trust placed in its leadership.”
The GNMTA-ASHBA elections will bring together delegates from training institutions across the Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions to elect new executives for the 2026 term.
