Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah
The ultra-modern facility, an initiative of the Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Hon. Nyameba Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, is aimed at strengthening emergency healthcare and saving lives in the district.
The MP, who is also Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, disclosed the project during a recent community engagement, stating that the centre is being built to respond effectively to emergency situations and to ease pressure on existing health facilities in the area.
Noble News crew visit the project site at Nkenkaasu and reveals the impressive progress. The main structure for the emergency wards, including triage and resuscitation bays, has been fully erected. Roofing works have been completed, while artisans are currently undertaking internal and minor works, electrical wiring and other finishing works.
The next phase will see flooring, fixing of doors and windows, and the installation of modern medical equipment and hospital beds ahead of commissioning.
When completed, the facility is expected to complement the Paramedic and Emergency Care Training School at Nkenkaaso, which has trained over 2,000 Emergency Medical Technicians for Ghana, and significantly reduce the long-distance referrals of critical cases to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Many have described the intervention as “papa paaa” to wit, excellent work well done, noting that it will bring life-saving care closer to their doorsteps.
