Jesus Freedom Education Complex Holds Maiden Graduation; Parents Urged to Invest in Children’s Education
Parents and guardians have been urged to place greater emphasis on the education and moral development of their children to equip them with the knowledge, skills and values needed to succeed in life.
The Proprietor of Jesus Freedom Education Complex at Kwaso in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Apostle Eric Ofori, made the appeal during the school’s maiden graduation ceremony, where pupils who had successfully completed various academic levels were honoured.
He described education as the bedrock of national development and stressed that the combined efforts of parents, teachers and other stakeholders were essential to nurturing disciplined, responsible and productive future leaders.
Apostle Ofori appealed to the Government to extend support programmes to private educational institutions, noting that pupils in private schools equally deserve access to quality teaching and learning materials to enhance academic performance.
He further called on the Government to introduce low-interest loan facilities for private school operators to enable them to improve infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
According to him, many private schools continue to make significant contributions to Ghana’s educational sector despite operating with limited resources, and therefore deserve greater policy attention and institutional support.
The proprietor also advised parents and guardians to closely monitor their children during the long vacation by encouraging them to participate in extra classes and other educational activities instead of allowing them to roam about aimlessly.
He urged pupils to make good use of the vacation period by reading their books regularly, completing academic assignments and preparing adequately for the next academic term.
The Special Guest of Honour, Pastor Charles Owusu Mpiani, Kwaso District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, also appealed to parents to raise their children in the fear and knowledge of God, saying moral and spiritual values are indispensable to the holistic development of every child.
He stated that discipline, integrity, hard work and obedience remain the cornerstones of responsible leadership and urged parents to complement formal education with sound moral training at home.
Pastor Mpiani encouraged the graduating pupils to remain focused on their studies, respect their parents and teachers, avoid negative peer influence and pursue excellence in their academic journey.
The ceremony, attended by parents, teachers, community leaders and invited guests, featured cultural performances, poetry recitals and the presentation of certificates and awards to deserving pupils, marking an important milestone in the history of Jesus Freedom Education Complex.
