Offinso North MP Engages Seseko Residents, Pledges Completion of Stalled Projects

The Member of Parliament for Offinso North Constituency, Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, on Saturday, July 26, 2026, held a community engagement with residents of Seseko to deliberate on pressing developmental challenges confronting the community.

The meeting, which formed part of the MP’s constituency tour, focused on three critical areas of concern to the people of Seseko – the deplorable road network, the stalled CHPS compound project, and delays in the execution of the Rural Telephony Project.

Residents who took turns to address the gathering lamented that the poor state of their roads continues to hamper economic activities, particularly the carting of farm produce to market centres.

They also expressed worry over the abandoned CHPS compound, which they said has stalled access to primary healthcare, while the absence of reliable mobile network coverage due to the uncompleted telephony project has cut the community off from essential communication and digital services.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Dr. Kyei Asamoah acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the residents of his unwavering commitment to addressing them.

He disclosed that he has already engaged the relevant ministries, departments and agencies to ensure work resumes on the stalled projects, adding that improving infrastructure remains central to his vision for the constituency.

“The development of Seseko and all communities in Offinso North is a priority for me. I understand the frustration over these stalled projects.

I want to assure you that I am working tirelessly to ensure the roads are fixed, the CHPS compound is completed, and the Rural Telephony Project is fully operational,” he stated.

The MP, who is a pharmacist by profession and assumed office on 7th January 2025, reaffirmed his dedication to improving the quality of life and promoting sustainable development across the constituency, noting that development must start from the polling stations and electoral areas.

The chiefs, elders and youth of Seseko expressed appreciation to the MP for the engagement and appealed for swift action to alleviate their plight.

The meeting ended with a renewed sense of hope among residents as the MP pledged to provide regular updates on progress made.
