‘He Tried to Attack Me’ – Woman Speaks Out Against Friend’s Brother
A young woman has accused the brother of her friend of attempting to rape her, taking her through assaults, and thereby resulting in severe injury in ankle and brusies all over her body.
On Monday, May 25, 2026, a young woman called Gifty appeared on Oyerepa Afutuo hosted by Auntie Naa. The young lady accused her male friend’s brother of trying to rape her.
According Gifty, her male friend who has been kind to her sometime back called her that he was not feeling well so she should come and take care of her for sometime if it would not be a problem for her. She too accepted the request because the friend was good to her when they used to stay near each other at Ashaiman.
So she moved to her friend’s house to stay with him. The house belonged to her friend’s brother.
“I was there when my friend called me to visit him because he was sick,” she stated.
One day, when she was eating, she continued, her friend’s brother called her into his room to check out something for him. On getting into the room, he requested to be intimate with her, which she objected.
However, her friend’s brother applied all forms of physical assault on her to weaken her and have his way with her. But she stood her grounds and prevented him any way possible from raping her.
She explained that, “He called me to look at something in his room. On getting there, he asked to intimate with him.
When I denied, he beat me up, kicking my knees till I could not really walk well. I shouted for help. Then one of his nephew’s came to bang on the door but he did not open the door, and the nephew left.”
According to Gifty, her friend also heard what was goig on and kept shouting outside which drew the attention of the neighbours around. After opening the gate for her to leave, he threatened her and her friend for embarrassing him.
Also, Gifty accused him of proposing to her, which she did not accept because her brother’s friend was married with children too.
She stated: “He asked me to be in a relationship with him but I disagreed. Because, his wife has been very good to me. She buys me so many things without telling anyone.
Someone snatched my husband sometime back which has rendered me so much pains in life, so I will be a bad person if I did that to her.”
According to Gifty’s friend, Gifty has been so good to him. They have no relationship, just friends. But she has cared for him more than his family after he traveled outside Ghana. Exactly six months, he got sick and returned back to Ghana.
He said, “Sister Gifty has been the one taking care of me since I got sick. My family have neglected me. I traveled to Oman, got sick exactly six months and brought back to Ghana.”
Gifty and his friend are seeking Auntie Naa and his team to task the friend’s brother to take responsibility of her health since she is now deprived of working as she used to.
