Wassa Saa Residents Cry, Assembly Member Challenges MP Nicholas Amankwah Over “False” Road Claims
The Assembly Member for Wassa Saa Electoral Area, Hon. Emmanuel Akwasi Oduro, has strongly criticized the Member of Parliament for Amenfi East, Nicholas Amankwah, over the poor state of the Wassa Saa road.
Hon. Oduro expressed frustration about the worsening condition of the road, describing it as a major setback to transportation, farming activities, and local businesses in the area.
He further challenged claims made by the MP during an interview on TV, where Hon. Nicholas Amankwah stated that the road project had been awarded on contract.
According to the Assembly Member, that claim does not reflect the reality on the ground. Hon. Oduro emphasized that, despite the MP’s statement, no contractor has been seen working on the road to date.
He insisted that residents continue to suffer daily due to the deplorable condition of the road, especially during the rainy season.
However, residents of Wassa Saa urging Hon. Nicholas Amankwah to take immediate steps to ensure that the road project is actually executed, rather than making promises that are not backed by action.
Wassa Saa residents appealed to the government and relevant authorities to intervene urgently to fix the road and bring relief to the affected communities.
