GHANCYC Appoints Hon. Rich Kofi Kofituo to Chair 50th Annual General Council Meeting

Accra, Ghana – The Ghana National Catholic Youth Council (GHANCYC) has appointed Hon. Rich Kofi Kofituo, Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tree Crops Development Authority, as Chairperson for its 50th Annual General Council Meeting.

This year’s milestone AGCM carries the theme “Towards Justice and Peace in Ghana: Embracing Synodality Ahead of West Africa Youth Days.”The Council says the event will focus on reflection, dialogue, and strengthening youth’s role in nation-building and Church life.

GHANCYC noted that the gathering will bring together delegates, clergy, and stakeholders nationwide to address issues shaping the future of Catholic youth in Ghana and West Africa.

“We are honored to have Hon. Kofituo lead this historic meeting,” GHANCYC stated. “His experience in public service and development will add great value to our discussions on justice, peace, and youth empowerment.”

The 50th AGCM will also serve as a key preparatory platform for the upcoming West Africa Youth Days.

GHANCYC coordinates Catholic youth organizations across Ghana, advancing faith formation, leadership, and social engagement.
