Bunkpurugu Constituency: Jagbar Amos Konbong Declares Bid for Constituency Organizer

Bunkpurugu, North East Region – A long-serving member of the party in the Bunkpurugu Constituency, Jagbar Amos Konbong, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Organizer in the upcoming constituency executive elections.

In a declaration addressed to delegates, Mr. Konbong said his decision is motivated by a deep commitment to strengthening party structures, energizing the grassroots, and securing victory for the party in the 2028 general elections.

With 18 years of dedicated service to the party, Mr. Konbong says he has the experience, loyalty and leadership required to lead the party’s mobilization efforts in Bunkpurugu.

He has previously served in various capacities including Constituency Co-opted Member in 2018, Bimbagu Zonal Campaign Team Coordinator during the 2020 General Elections, and as a member of the Constituency and Zonal Campaign Team during the 2024 General Elections.

According to him, these roles have given him firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the party at the grassroots level and have strengthened his resolve to build a more united, vibrant and well-organized constituency.

Outlining his vision if elected, Mr. Konbong pledged to:

1. Mobilize and re-energize the party base ahead of the 2028 elections;

2. Strengthen party structures from the polling station to the constituency level;

3.Foster stronger communication and collaboration between leadership and the grassroots; and

4.Build the capacity of polling station organizers through training, motivation and logistical support to deliver effective election-day operations.

“I firmly believe that my commitment, loyalty, organizational skills, and passion for our great party make me the right candidate to lead our mobilization efforts, secure victory in the Bunkpurugu Constituency, and contribute to returning our party to power,” he stated.

Mr. Konbong further appealed to delegates for their prayers, guidance and overwhelming support, while reaffirming his commitment to party unity, discipline and a clean, issue-based campaign.

“Together, let us build a stronger party and a brighter future for the Bunkpurugu Constituency,” he added.

The Bunkpurugu Constituency executive elections are expected to be keenly contested as the party reorganizes towards the 2028 polls.
