Kofi Adade Foundation Seeks Sponsorship to Support Over 6,000 Orphans and Needy Pupils in Ashanti Region

The Kofi Adade Foundation has announced a major educational support initiative aimed at assisting orphans and needy pupils across six areas in the Ashanti Region, and is appealing to the public and corporate Ghana for sponsorship.

The outreach will cover Sekyere Kumawu District, Sekyere East District, Juaben Municipal, Ejisu Municipal, Atwima Kwanwoma Municipal and Abrepo in the Bantama Constituency.

Founder of the Foundation, Hon. Kofi Adade, who is also a Senior Journalist with Oyerepa TV and FM and Promise TV and Radio, said the program is scheduled for 1st September, 2026.

The initiative seeks to provide pupils with basic but essential learning materials including notebooks, exercise books, pens, pencils and school bags.

According to him, the project is driven by the need to ease the financial burden on poor parents who struggle to afford basic school items for their wards, to motivate deprived school children to remain in school and complete their basic education, and to ensure that orphans have equal access to the tools needed for learning.

He disclosed that a preliminary research conducted by the Foundation in the beneficiary communities and their surrounding villages indicates that over six thousand pupils are orphans and in dire need of support, a situation that continues to affect enrollment and retention in basic schools.

Hon. Kofi Adade noted that the Foundation is ready to partner with individuals, corporate organizations, non-governmental organizations and philanthropists who are willing to support the cause either in cash or in kind, assuring that all donations will be transparently utilized and acknowledged.
