Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah Supports Offinso North B.E.C.E Candidates with GHS 78,000 Feeding Fund
In a commendable show of commitment to education and student welfare, the Member of Parliament for Offinso North Constituency has donated GHS 78,000 (GHS50.00 per candidate)to support the feeding of candidates sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) in the constituency.
This timely intervention aims to ensure that candidates are well‑nourished throughout the examination period, enabling them to focus fully on their papers without the distraction of hunger or financial burden.
The initiative reflects Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah’s dedication to improving quality educational outcomes and supporting families within the constituency.
Speaking on the gesture, Chairman Johnson Mogma,who on behalf of the MP made the donation emphasised the importance of creating a conducive environment for students to excel.
The support is expected to benefit over 1,500 candidates in the constituency.
Beyond that, the MP, through his chairman, encouraged the candidates to remain disciplined and avoid exam malpractice. He also promised an additional GHS 3,000 to any candidate who obtains an aggregate of 9 or below.
The District Director of Education, Mr. Michael Addo‑Fordjour, expressed gratitude for such a wonderful gesture, now in its third year.
“This intervention removes a key financial burden and allows candidates to focus on what really matters,” he said.
Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah has demonstrated consistent commitment to educational progress in the district over the years.
In addition to the feeding support for candidates, he sponsored intensive two‑week vacation classes for them and also donated over 1,500 mathematical sets and 2,500 BiC pens.
The second batch of Dr. Fred Kyei. Asamoah’s sponsored educational trip to Accra,particularly to Parliament House and other fascinating places is scheduled to take place within the year.
