FATAL ROAD CRASH AT YIKURIGU IN ZEBILLA CLAIMS 3 LIVES

A tragic road traffic collision involving a Yutong VVIP bus and a Toyota Ciana occurred earlier today, Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Yikurigu in Zebilla in the Upper East Region along the Bolgatanga–Zebilla–Bawku highway.

The Yutong VVIP bus was travelling towards Bawku, while the Toyota Ciana was heading towards Bolgatanga when the collision occurred.

The crash resulted in the death of three (3) occupants of the Toyota Ciana at the scene, including a man, a woman, and a child.

Three (3) male occupants of the Yutong VVIP bus, including the driver, sustained injuries and were transported to the Zebilla Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical attention.

The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined and remains under investigation.
