Disabled Man Rescued from Burning Wheelchair After Accident in Offinso Dentin

Offinso, Ashanti Region – April 12, 2026 .A disabled man is receiving treatment after his wheelchair motorcycle caught fire following a crash at the Four Corner Junction in Offinso Dentin on 12th June 2026.

According to eyewitness accounts, the man was crossing the road on his way to a funeral when an ECG truck spotted him and  to stop to give the disabledman a way to go.

In the process, a  motorbike that was following the ECG truck reportedly riding unlawfully struck the wheelchair motorcycle.

The impact caused the wheelchair motorcycle to catch fire. A banana seller along the roadside raised an alarm, drawing the attention of passersby.

One man then rushed in and pulled the victim from the flames before the fire could spread further.

The wheelchair motorcycle was burnt to ashes before the Offinso Fire Service arrived at the scene.

It is alleged that the victim had recently lost his wife and was on his way to attend her funeral in Offinso when the accident occurred.

He is currently under treatment at a medical facility in Offinso. The extent of his injuries has not been confirmed by authorities yet. Police are yet to release an official statement.
