My Late Husband’s Spirit Is Hunting Me”: Woman Regrets Using Children’s Pension Money

A woman has reportedly turned to the Ghanaian radio show Oyerepa Afutuo for help after claiming she is facing troubling emotional effects following her decision to spend part of her late husband’s pension money—funds that were meant to support their children.

During a live segment, she explained that after her husband’s death, she accessed the pension benefits and used some of the money for personal needs instead of reserving it entirely for the children’s care and education.

She said that since then, she has been consumed by fear and guilt, and now feels as though her late husband’s spirit is pursuing her.

According to her, this sense of being “haunted” reflects the emotional and psychological strain she has been under since making that choice.

The host of the show, Auntie Naa, listened as the woman appealed for advice and support, both spiritually and emotionally.

The programme, known for handling family and relationship issues, often gives people a platform to share deeply personal situations and seek guidance.

The woman expressed regret and asked for forgiveness, saying her experience has made her rethink how she handled the money.

She also pleaded for help in finding peace as she continues raising her children.

Her story has sparked mixed reactions among listeners—some sympathizing with her emotional struggle and financial pressures, while others criticized her for using money intended for the children’s future.
