CARE FOR HUMANITY: WILLINGWAY RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION CENTRE COLLABORATES WITH MODESTA IMPACT INITIATIVE TO FEED HUNDREDS AT GHETTOS IN KUMASI.

Willingway Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre in collaboration with Modesta Impact initiative has visited some ghettos in Kumasi.

The move aims at having dinner with the Ghettos and also educate them on the consequences of drug intake, the abuse and its addiction in preparation towards the commemoration of International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking on the 26th June.

More than 100 addicts at the Various Ghettos, Such as Krofrom Columbia and Amakom were served with Cooked Rice and assorted drinks.

The Ghatto Visitation saw a massive participation of some Advocates including Staff from the Ghana health Service, Mental health Authority, Ghetto Preacher Evangelist Suro Nyame and Gunshot.

Speaking with Oyerepa FM’s Okogyeabour Ocran, the CEO of Modesta impact initiative, Dr. Modesta Abbem called on the drug addicts to end the journey of addiction.

She announced her readiness to give them skills training in they are ready to end their Ghetto lives.

On her part, The Chief executive officer for Willingway Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre, Mrs. Lydia Abena Manu Adofo bemoaned the rising stigmatization against the Ghetto boys.

This societal practice she believes has contributed to the rise in Ghetto lives as she entreated the General public to accept them back to the family.

Mrs. Lydia Abena Manu Adofo maintained that, Drug addiction is a chronic disease that needs collective attention to coil the situation.

Finally, the Ghetto President of Krofrom Columbia, who is only identified as PRESIDOO speaking with Oyerepa news Cautioned the youth of Ghana to avoid abusing drugs and other substances.

According to him, he has been taking drugs over three decades but he regrets his current situation.
