Golden Era Cuisine and Foundation, Mall Wasty Show Bring Joy to Amankwatia Salvation Army Basic School with ‘Our Day’ Celebration

Pupils of the Amankwatia Salvation Army Basic School were filled with excitement and smiles as Golden Era Cuisine and Foundation, in collaboration with Mall Wasty Show, organized a special ‘Our Day’ celebration for the school.

The outreach, held at the school’s premises, brought together hundreds of pupils, teachers and community members for a day of fun, food, and inspiration.

‘Our Day’, traditionally marked by basic schools across Ghana at the end of the academic term, was given a special touch this year as the two organisations provided cooked meals, drinks, and assorted goodies for every child.

Beyond the merry-making, the event was aimed at motivating pupils to stay in school and reminding them that they are loved and valued, regardless of their location.

Speaking at the event, representatives of Golden Era Cuisine and Foundation said the initiative forms part of their commitment to giving back to society, particularly to children in deprived and rural communities.

They noted that putting smiles on the faces of children is a powerful way of building hope for the future.

Adding to the goodwill messages, CEO of Mall Wasty Show, Mr. Amankwa, popularly known as MC Mallwasty, said the gesture was intended to excite the pupils and expose them to the opportunities and developments of the modern era.

According to him, children in rural areas often miss out on such celebrations, and it was important to create memorable experiences that would inspire them to dream big.

He assured the school and the community that his organisation would continue to support people living in rural areas through similar outreach programmes.

The Headteacher and staff of Amankwatia Salvation Army Basic School expressed profound gratitude to Golden Era Cuisine and Foundation and Mall Wasty Show for choosing their school for this year’s celebration.

They described the support as timely and impactful, and appealed for more of such collaborations to improve teaching and learning in the area.

Parents and community elders who graced the occasion also lauded the initiative, calling on other benevolent organisations and individuals to emulate the example.

The celebration ended with music, dance, and photo sessions, leaving the pupils with unforgettable memories of a truly joyful ‘Our Day’.
