Persistence Pays Off: Alhaji Issah Ali Asaana Wins Offinso South NDC Chairmanship At Fourth Attempt

After three unsuccessful attempts, Alhaji Issah Ali Asaana has finally been elected as Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Offinso South Constituency.

The veteran party stalwart has shown remarkable persistence in his quest to lead the constituency. In 2014, 2018, and 2022, he contested for the same position and placed second in all three elections, before breaking through to victory in the 2026 constituency elections.

His election is being celebrated by many as a true story of resilience and commitment to the party at the grassroots level.

Addressing delegates after his declaration, Alhaji Asaana expressed profound gratitude to party members for their trust and promised an all-inclusive leadership that will unite the party and strengthen its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.

He extended an olive branch to his contenders and called for unity, stressing that the NDC needs a united front to maximize its electoral fortunes in Offinso South.
