Fire Guts Parts of Accra Central Police Headquarters Annex

A fire has engulfed sections of the Accra Central Police Headquarters Annex, with flames tearing through parts of the building Tuesday morning.

Firefighters are at the scene battling the blaze and working to contain it to prevent spread to nearby structures.

The Ghana National Fire Service has not yet confirmed casualties or the extent of damage. The cause of the fire is also yet to be established and investigations are expected to begin once the fire is fully doused.

Motorists and pedestrians in the Accra Central area have been advised to avoid the immediate vicinity as emergency crews work.
