The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old mobile money vendor at Kasoa in the Central Region.

The deceased, Christian Amponsah, was found dead at a guest house around Kasoa Second on Sunday, October 26, 2026.

The suspects have been identified as 59-year-old Felicia Osei Appiah, 24-year-old Clement Opoku Yeboah, and a female juvenile whose identity has been withheld due to her age. They were arrested on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

According to the police, the manager of the guest house reported the incident after discovering the victim lying motionless in a room.

The manager told police that the deceased and the juvenile had checked into the facility and booked a room for two hours. When the period elapsed and neither occupant emerged, he went to check and found Amponsah lying in a pool of blood.

Officers who visited the scene found the body lying face down, covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows.

The body has since been conveyed to the Police Hospital Mortuary in Accra for preservation, identification and autopsy.

The three suspects are currently in police custody assisting investigations, while the Command says processes are underway to arraign them before court.

The police commended members of the public whose information led to the arrests and assured that thorough investigations are ongoing.
