Catholic Philharmonic Choir – Ghana to Hold Marian Concert “Ave Maria” on July 26 at Bohyen Ampabame

Kumasi Catholic Philharmonic Choir – Ghana, one of the country’s leading liturgical music apostolates in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi, has announced a major Marian Concert dubbed “AVE MARIA. A Celebration of Our Lady” scheduled for Sunday, 26th July, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
The concert will be held at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Bohyen Ampabame in the Ashanti Region, and is expected to draw Catholics and music lovers from across the country.
The event, according to the organizers, is a spiritual and musical tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, aimed at deepening Marian devotion through sacred music.

The choir, known for its excellence in classical, traditional and contemporary Catholic choral works, will lead the faithful in a repertoire of timeless Marian hymns and anthems including renditions of the iconic Ave Maria.
According to the Choir organizers they stated that the concert forms part of its mission to evangelize through music and to foster unity within the Catholic Church in Ghana.
The Marian Concert comes at a time when the Catholic Church in Ghana continues to leverage sacred music as a tool for youth engagement and spiritual renewal.
Music analysts say the Catholic Philharmonic Choir – Ghana has carved a niche for itself with its disciplined vocal delivery and liturgical depth, making its concerts a national religious calendar event.
The general public, all Marian societies, church choirs, and devotees of Our Lady are cordially invited.
