Bad Roads Stifle Offinso North: Farmers, Traders, and Patients Plead for Urgent Infrastructure Fix”

The Offinso North District is a vibrant district bursting with potential, rich agricultural output, and a hardworking population that contributes significantly to the local and national economy.

However, the current state of our road networks stands as a severe bottleneck to our progress, making daily life an uphill battle for residents, drivers, and traders alike.

From deep potholes that damage vehicles to thick dust blankets in the dry season and impassable mud traps when it rains, the roads in Offinso North have become a hazard.

This infrastructure deficit does more than just slow down travel times; it actively hurts our community in critical ways:

Economic Stagnation: Farmers, who are the backbone of Offinso North, struggle to transport their perishable produce to major market centers. When food rots on the farm because vehicles cannot access the communities, livelihoods are destroyed.

Healthcare Risks: Accessing emergency healthcare is a nightmare. Pregnant women and critically ill patients are subjected to agonizing journeys on bumpy roads just to reach the nearest hospital, turning treatable emergencies into life-threatening situations.

We are making a passionate and urgent appeal to our District Chief Executive (DCE) and the President of the Republic to prioritize the plight of this district.

We call upon the DCE and the President Mahama to step in, assess the worsening conditions, and deploy the necessary resources to give Offinso North the quality road network it deserves.

We need standard, durable roads that will stand the test of time and unlock the full economic potential of our communities.

Leadership is about listening to the cries of the people and acting to improve their welfare.

We stand ready to support any developmental drive, and we hope our leaders will hear this call and bring the much-needed relief to Offinso North.
