ACCIDENT AT ODUMASI – OHENE NKWANTA NEAR RIDER IRON AND STEEL COMPANY LEAVES 3 DEAD, 20 INJURED

Collision between Mitsubishi Outlander and Benz Sprinter on Kumasi-Accra Highway prompts emergency response_

*ODUMASI – OHENE NKWANTA* — A fatal road accident involving a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Benz Sprinter occurred at Odumasi-Ohene Nkwanta, near the Rider Iron and Steel Company along the Kumasi-Accra Highway.

The crash happened between the Mitsubishi Outlander with registration number *DV G8180*, driven by Richmond Kuman, and a Benz Sprinter with registration number *GE6024-22*. The driver of the Sprinter has not yet been identified.

Emergency crews retrieved three unidentified males from the scene. All three were pronounced dead and handed over to the MTTD Konongo for further processing.

Twenty other people sustained injuries in the collision. They were transported to Hope Care Hospital, Asante Akim Central Municipal Hospital, and RIS Hospital. Ambulance *GV589-20* assisted in the evacuation, alongside other vehicles whose details were not immediately available.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the MTTD Konongo.

Motorists have been urged to exercise caution on that stretch of the Kumasi-Accra Highway, particularly near the Rider Iron and Steel Company area.
