Abofour Residents Appeal To MP For Completion Of Stalled Development Projects

Abofour, Offinso South.Residents of Abofour in the Offinso  Municipal of the Ashanti Region have made a passionate appeal to their Member of Parliament, Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku, to help fast-track the completion of three critical projects in the town that have been left uncompleted.

The projects, which include the Abofour Police Station, a three-unit classroom block at New Life School and a modern toilet facility at Abofour Old Town, have stalled for several months, with weeds fast taking over the sites.

The  residents say the community has been keenly following progress on the projects and fears that the huge investments made so far will go to waste if urgent steps are not taken to complete them.

According to them, a half-completed project serves no purpose to the very people it was intended to benefit. They lamented that what should have improved security, education and sanitation in the town has now become a worrying sight of abandoned structures covered in weeds.

Speaking on the development, some residents noted that the completion of the police station is crucial to strengthening security and law enforcement in Abofour and surrounding communities, while the classroom block at New Life School would significantly ease congestion and enhance effective teaching and learning.

They added that the modern toilet facility at Abofour Old Town is equally essential to addressing sanitation challenges and curbing open defecation in the area.

The residents are therefore calling on Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku, the Offinso South Municipal Assembly and all relevant stakeholders to intervene as a matter of urgency to ensure the projects are completed and put to use for the benefit of the community.
