St. Luke R/C Basic School Headmistress Appeals for ICT Support to Aid 650 Students

 

Kumasi, Ghana – The headmistress of St. Luke Basic School, Rev. Sister Marian Antwi, has made a public appeal for support to improve Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and STEM learning at the school.

Speaking to the media, Rev. Sister Marian said the school is facing a severe shortage of educational materials.

She revealed that they only have six Desktop that are available in their ICT lab for 650 students to share during ICT lessons so therefore, she is appealing that as they have started constructing a three unit classroom block to expand ICT lab and STEM Laboratory they  needs a funds to complete the project.

To the general public, philanthropists, and NGOs we appeal for your supporting completing the project.

“Despite these challenges, our teachers are willing to teach and the students are eager to learn,” she said. “With the help of the PTA, we have started constructing a room for an ICT lab and STEM resource center for the school.

However, we are struggling to complete it, and we are calling on the government and other stakeholders to support us.”

Rev. Sister Marian is appealing to the general public, philanthropists, and NGOs to support the school with educational materials and technology equipment.

“Now, without technology you are blind and deaf,” she stated, stressing the urgent need for computers and learning resources to ensure students are not left behind in a digital age.

She called on authorities and well-meaning individuals to come to the school’s aid to boost teaching and learning and equip the students for the future.

St. Luke R/C Basic School is located in Kumasi and serves hundreds of pupils at the basic education level.
