Booba Blasts NDC for Cosmetic Projects Branded as 24-Hour Economy Transformation
Hon. Robert Sarfo-Mensah, popularly known as Hon. Booba and aspiring Ahafo Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has launched a strong attack on the NDC government over what he describes as the deceptive and failed implementation of the much-publicized “24-Hour Economy Policy.”
Speaking during a One-on-One interview on Victory FM at Mim in the Ahafo Region, Hon. Booba stated that the NDC deliberately created false hope among Ghanaians by promising a transformational economic policy that was supposed to create massive jobs, expand industries, and revive the economy through a productive 24-hour system.
According to him, the reality on the ground has exposed the policy as nothing more than political propaganda aimed at deceiving the Ghanaian youth for votes.
“The NDC promised Ghanaians a 24-Hour Economy, but what we are seeing today is a 24-Hour Market agenda. Ghanaians were expecting factories, industries, investments, and sustainable jobs, not just market projects branded with political slogans,” Hon. Booba emphasized.
He further accused the NDC government of lacking a clear economic direction and failing to provide practical solutions to the growing unemployment and hardship facing ordinary Ghanaians.
“You cannot deceive the youth with catchy slogans while unemployment continues to rise. The Ghanaian people voted for economic transformation, not cosmetic projects and political branding,” he stated.
Hon. Booba maintained that the NPP remains the only political party in Ghana with a proven record in industrialization, infrastructure development, job creation, and economic transformation through policies such as One District One Factory and other strategic interventions that empowered businesses and created opportunities for the youth.
He called on party faithful in the Ahafo Region and across the country to remain united and focused as the NPP reorganizes itself to reclaim power strongly in 2028.
“The NPP must learn from the past, reconnect with the grassroots, and offer Ghanaians credible and visionary leadership once again. The people are already seeing through the deception,” he added.
Hon. Booba reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the NPP in the Ahafo Region through grassroots mobilization, unity, and strategic leadership capable of restoring the party’s lost parliamentary seats in 2028.
