Tragedy: SHS Student Found Dead in Stream at Tomefa
A teenage girl, identified as Gloria Segoe, a student of Keta Business Senior High School, has been found dead in a stream at Tomefa in the Ga South Municipality.

According to reports, Gloria had taken exeat from school to visit her grandmother in Agbozome but allegedly went to Kasoa to visit her boyfriend instead.

The Ghana National Fire Service received a distress call on June 23, 2025, at 10:02 p.m. and rushed to the scene, retrieving the lifeless body from the stream at 10:42 p.m. The body was handed over to the police for further investigation.
The boyfriend of the deceased has been arrested and is assisting with investigations, claiming he was at work when he received a call about the incident. The cause of death remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
The mother of the deceased has confirmed the identity of her daughter, and the police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding Gloria’s death.
