Two Killed, One Injured in Fatal Nsutam Highway Crash

Two people died and one person was seriously injured in a road accident involving a fuel tanker and a motorbike at Nsutam Community 5 on the Accra–Kumasi Highway near Bunso University on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The motorbike, carrying the rider and two female passengers, reportedly attempted to cross the highway when it was struck by a fuel tanker travelling from Kumasi to Accra.

The rider and one female passenger died instantly, while the second female passenger sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Hawa Memorial Hospital at Osiem for treatment.

Police have conveyed the bodies to the Kyebi Government Hospital mortuary and launched investigations into the incident. Residents described the crash as a tragic and preventable accident and called for greater road safety awareness.
