Sabronum Government Hospital Marks First Anniversary With Massive Float Through Town

The Sabronum Government Hospital in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region has kicked off its first anniversary celebration with a massive and colourful float through the principal streets of Sabronum.

The float, held on Thursday, July 17, brought together hospital management and staff, traditional leaders, community members, and pupils and students from schools across the Sabronum township.

Clad in branded T-shirts and holding banners and placards with health education messages, the participants danced to brass band music while sensitizing residents on the importance of quality healthcare, regular hospital visits, and healthy lifestyles. Residents lined the streets to cheer the procession on.

According to the organizers, the float was to express profound gratitude to the chiefs and people of Sabronum for their continuous support since the establishment of the facility, and to officially commence activities marking the one-year anniversary.

They further called on all residents to actively participate in the remaining events lined up for the celebration.

Activities earmarked for the anniversary include school health outreach programmes, clean-up exercises, a grand community durbar, free NHIS registration and renewal, a food bazaar, indoor games, and a thanksgiving service.

The celebration is being held under the theme: “Celebrating One Year of Service, Care, and Excellence.”The hospital, since its operationalization a year ago, has significantly improved access to healthcare delivery in the district and surrounding communities.
