GA/R: Torrential Rain Claims Mysterious Life in Santa Maria, Accra
A tragic incident has occurred in Santa Maria, a suburb in the Greater Accra region of Ghana, where an unidentified man, believed to be in his 30s, was found dead after yesterday’s torrential rain on May 22, 2026.
The heavy downpour, which lasted from 1 pm to around 6 pm, left a trail of devastation, and the lifeless body was discovered in the floods shortly after the rain subsided.
According to Nana Kwasi Boandwoh Jnr, the Assembly member for the area, the victim is not a resident of Santa Maria and was wearing a red T-shirt with the inscription “The Finger of God Barbaring Saloon” and had dreadlocks, making identification challenging.
The authorities are appealing to the general public for any information that could help identify the victim.
The body has been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue, and the police have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death.
The incident has left the community in shock, and residents are hoping for answers soon.
The Assembly member has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist the authorities in identifying the victim and determining the cause of death.
