Abofour/Dumasua Zongo Youth Blend Salah Celebration with Anti-Drug Campaign

ABOFOUR, GHANA-The Abofour/Dumasua Zongo Youth are set to mark this year’s Salah with more than just celebration. On Friday, May 29, 2026, they will host the Ram & Bull Salah Festival at the Abofour Old Market, opposite Abdalla Goil Station, from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

While the event honors the Eid festivities, it carries a strong social message under the theme “Say No to Drug Abuse.”

According to the leading organizer of this event Mr.Ibrahim Foster,  the festival is designed to speak directly to young people in Abofour-Dumansua and it’s environment about the choices that shape their future.

The program will focus on educating the youth about the dangers and long-term effects of drug abuse, while promoting moral discipline and responsible living.

It will also push back against criminal and antisocial behaviors, and encourage unity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect within the community and beyond.

This  initiative has drawn support from respected traditional and religious leaders who will attend the event.

They include Nana Osei Darko, Abofour Kontihene; Nana Ahobrase Awuah Dokyi, Dumasua Nifahene; Apostle Dr. Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Beremakese I; and Alhaji Saani Mohammed, Abofour/Dumasua Zongo Chief.

To keep the Salah spirit alive, the festival will feature cultural side attractions alongside the advocacy. Guests should expect drumming, poem performances, music interludes, and kyinkyinga, locally known as kibab.

According to Mr.Ibrahim Foster, the leading Organizer: said “This event is open to all residents and is meant to strengthen community bonds while tackling a growing concern among Ghana’s youth.”

You can reach out to the Abofour-Dumansua youth for development executives or Mr.Ibrahim Foster  for further details.
