Rev. Sister Olivia Umoh Urges Christian Mothers to Reject Domestic Violence
Kumasi, Ghana – Rev. Sister Olivia Umoh has called on Christian mothers to reject domestic violence and promote healthy family relationships.
Speaking at a 3-day retreat for Christian Mothers, Rev. Sister Umoh emphasized the importance of creating a peaceful and loving environment in families and communities.
“As Christian mothers, we have a vital role to play in promoting peace and harmony in our families and communities,” Rev. Sister Umoh said.
“We must reject domestic violence and any form of abuse, and instead, foster a culture of love, respect, and understanding.”
The retreat, which preceded the induction of new members, aimed to equip the Christian Mothers with the skills and knowledge to promote family values and prevent domestic violence.
Rev. Sister Umoh also advised the mothers to be mindful of the company they keep and the environments they expose themselves to, saying, “As women, we must be careful not to entertain or condone violence or abuse in our families, homes, or communities.”
The event was attended by Christian Mothers from various parishes, who pledged to promote peace and harmony in their families and communities.
