Breaking News: Fatal Accident Rocks Dunkwa Junction in Obuasi Municipality

A devastating accident has occurred at Dunkwa Junction in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

While details are still emerging, reports indicate that six people lost their lives in a head-on collision involving a KIA truck and a Sprinter bus.

The incident happened around 10 pm when the KIA truck, attempting to dodge a pothole, veered off its lane and collided with the oncoming Sprinter bus.

Seventeen other passengers sustained various injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals in Obuasi and Dunkwa for treatment.

However, I couldn’t find any information confirming the involvement of Chinese nationals in the accident.

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

It’s worth noting that the Obuasi-Dunkwa road has witnessed several accidents in recent times, highlighting concerns about road safety in the area.
