Family of Samuel Aboagye Helicopter Crash Victim Sues Widow Over DNA Test Dispute.
The family of the late Samuel Aboagye, one of the victims of the recent helicopter crash, has taken legal action against his wife for allegedly preventing them from conducting a DNA test on their child.
According to family sources, the late Aboagye had reportedly expressed doubts about the paternity of his child before his death.
He allegedly confided in relatives that he intended to carry out a DNA test, citing suspicions that his wife had previously been in a relationship with a Member of Parliament from the Ashanti Region — a man whom the child reportedly resembles.
Following the tragic helicopter crash, authorities requested DNA samples from family members to help confirm the identities of the victims.
It was at this stage that Aboagye’s family attempted to include the child in the process. However, the widow allegedly refused to cooperate and later fled to the United States.
The family has since filed a lawsuit, seeking a court order to allow the DNA test to proceed.
In response, the widow has reportedly filed an injunction to stop the test, insisting that her late husband is the child’s biological father and that the family’s actions are defamatory and unnecessary.
The case, which has attracted significant public interest, is currently before the court as both parties await a ruling on whether the DNA test should be conducted.
