Tragedy in Kumasi: 3-Month-Old Baby Dies Under Father’s Care, Police Launch Investigation

Police have arrested Kwabena Aboagye after his 3-month-old baby was found dead at Dompoase/Aprabon.

According to police, the baby’s mother, Spendylove Aninwa, who is currently sitting for the ongoing WASSCE, left her child in the care of the father, Kwabena Aboagye, on Monday morning while she went to write her examination.

Upon her return, Aboagye’s younger sister handed the baby to her, indicating the child was asleep.

However, the mother noticed the baby was unresponsive and immediately rushed him to a clinic at Sokoban Wood Village, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police officers who later visited the clinic found the infant wrapped in a sweater with no visible marks on the body.

The remains have since been transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
