The Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly in the Ashanti Region is cracking down on poor sanitation practices.

Municipal Chief Executive Officer Hon Patricia Pearl Ankrah has warned residents that they will face prosecution if they continue to litter and neglect cleanliness in their surroundings.

This move comes after a massive cleanup exercise was held at Afrancho, where residents were urged to take responsibility for keeping their environment clean.

Hon Patricia Pearl Ankrah emphasized that dirty environments are detrimental to public health and emphasized the need for residents to maintain clean surroundings.

The assembly is determined to enforce sanitation laws and ensure a clean environment for all residents.

Residents who fail to keep their surroundings clean will face prosecution.

Hon Patricia Pearl Ankrah disclosed that, on Monday they will present letters to all those who have fail to clean their frontage .

Dirty environments are really bad, but still, people pour refuse into gutters and wait for flooding to occur.
