“GHANCYC Elects New Leadership: A Step Forward for Youth Ministry in Ghana”
The Ghana National Catholic Youth Council (GHANCYC) is set to elect its new National Executive at the 49th Annual General Council Meeting (AGCM) in Tamale today 6th September 2025, marking a significant leadership transition.
A three-member team, chaired by Rev. Fr. Gregory Peter Oduro, Accra Provincial Chaplain, alongside Rev. Fr. Edbert Doh and Rev. Fr. Nichodemus Uunezumeh, will oversee the electoral process, ensuring transparency and professionalism.
The AGCM, themed “Jubilee Year: A Time to Proclaim Christ, Hope for the Church and Ghana,” brings together thousands of young Catholic leaders, clergy, and dignitaries from across the country.
The gathering was featured talks, prayer sessions, entertainment, and fellowship designed to deepen the spiritual, social, and leadership life of the Catholic youth.
The meeting seeks to empower young Catholics to live out their faith while contributing positively to the growth of the Church and the nation.
Under the leadership of GHANCYC Chairman, Mr. Mathias Waliba Justice, this milestone event promises to inspire renewed commitment to faith, leadership, and service, aligning with the Jubilee Year’s call to proclaim Christ as the ultimate hope for both the Church and Ghana.
