“Prioritize Your Well-being: Let God Guide Your Life” Advises Rev. Fr. Edward Akwasi Gyebi

The Assistant Youth Chaplain for the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi, Rev. Fr. Edward Akwasi Gyebi, has advised youth across the world to prioritize their well-being by letting God guide their lives instead of succumbing to drug abuse.

According to Rev. Fr. Gyebi, drug abuse not only damages one’s immune system but also contributes to the high cost of importing drugs for treatment in Ghana. He emphasized that the body is the temple of the Lord and should be treated with respect and care.

The priest urged the youth to abstain from behaviors that are detrimental to their health and well-being, noting that the effects of drug abuse may not be immediate but can have long-term consequences.

He encouraged young people to cultivate a strong relationship with Christ, allowing His presence in their lives to guide their decisions and actions.

Rev. Fr. Gyebi’s message serves as a timely reminder of the importance of prioritizing one’s health and spiritual well-being, especially in the face of challenges and pressures that may lead to substance abuse.

By making informed choices and seeking guidance from God, young people can lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.
