Breaking News: Gold Buying Agent Brutally Murdered in Wasa Bawdie
A gold buying agent, popularly known as “Carry,” has been brutally murdered by armed robbers in his office at Wasa Bawdie in the Amenfi East district of the Western Region. According to reports, three suspects on a motorcycle, armed with sharp knives and a pistol, broke into the gold shop and attacked the victim.
The robbers made away with an undisclosed amount of money and gold, leaving the victim dead at the scene.
The body has been deposited at the morgue for an autopsy, and the police are currently investigating the matter.
This incident highlights the growing concerns over armed robberies targeting businesses, particularly those dealing with valuable commodities like gold.
In January 2023, four suspects were arrested for robbery and murder at Wassa Agona, where they attacked a fuel filling station, beating attendants and stealing an unspecified amount of money and mobile phones.
