The Member of Parliament for Offinso North Constituency, Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, has cut sod for the construction of three ultra-modern 12-seater sanitation facilities to improve hygiene and public health in the constituency.

The sod-cutting ceremonies, held on Friday, August 21, 2026, took place at three separate locations: Afrancho in the Ahenbronom Electoral Area at the AME Primary School park, Akumadan in the Old Mireku Electoral Area, and Nkwaankwaa.

The projects, when completed, are expected to significantly address the long-standing sanitation challenges facing residents, school children and traders in the beneficiary communities.

The colorful ceremonies were attended by Constituency Executives, Nananom, Assembly Members, Electoral Area Executive Committee members, Polling Station Executives, opinion leaders, and enthusiastic residents.

Addressing the gatherings, Hon. Dr. Asamoah reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to improving sanitation and building healthier communities across Offinso North.

He disclosed that the projects are being executed in partnership with Sanitopio CIC, a sanitation-focused organization, and form part of a broader agenda to roll out similar modern facilities to other deprived communities within the constituency.

“Proper sanitation is not just about infrastructure; it is about the health, dignity and well-being of our people. We cannot build a prosperous constituency when our people are exposed to preventable diseases,” the MP stated.

Hon. Dr. Asamoah assured his constituents that he will continue to lobby and support projects and initiatives that directly impact and improve their living conditions.

Residents and traditional leaders in the three beneficiary communities expressed profound gratitude to the MP for the intervention, noting that the facilities will bring relief especially to women and school children.

Construction works on all three sites are expected to commence immediately and be completed on schedule.
