AMPONYASE COMMUNITY LEADERS CRY FOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE COMMUNITY

The entire leadership and residents of Amponyase in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region are appealing to their Member of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Azumah, and the District Chief Executive, Hon. Galiba Mohammed, to intensify efforts to lobby for developmental projects for the community.

According to the community leaders, Amponyase continues to face several developmental challenges despite repeated appeals to the authorities.

They claim that since the MP assumed office after winning the election, the community has not seen the level of development they expected from the promises made during the election campaign.

The residents have therefore urged both the MP and the DCE to pay greater attention to the needs of the community and work together to secure projects that will improve living conditions.

Among the major challenges confronting Amponyase are the lack of a proper drainage system, inadequate electricity extension and the poor condition of the road linking the community to the main road.

The residents explained that the absence of proper drainage has created serious sanitation concerns, particularly during the rainy season, while the poor road network continues to make transportation difficult for residents and motorists.

They are therefore calling on the government, through the MP and the DCE, to prioritize the community’s development needs and provide the necessary infrastructure to promote economic and social development.

The community leadership further appealed to the relevant authorities to engage with residents and identify practical solutions to the challenges facing Amponyase.
