The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa North Constituency has officially sworn in its newly elected constituency executives following a keenly contested constituency executive election held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the CRIG M/A Primary School premises in Akyem Tafo.

The election, which attracted keen interest from delegates and party members across the constituency, was conducted in a peaceful, transparent and orderly atmosphere under tight security.

Despite concerns in some quarters that the contest could be be marred by tension, the process ended successfully without any reported incidents of violence or factional clashes.

Speaking to the media after retaining his position as Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim expressed appreciation to the delegates for renewing their confidence in him.

He described the election as free, fair and peaceful, adding that the outcome demonstrated the maturity and unity of the NPP in Abuakwa North.

He noted that the party’s focus must now shift from the elections to rebuilding and strengthening its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.

According to him, unity remains the party’s greatest strength, and he is committed to bringing every member, including those who contested against him, on board to work towards securing victory for the NPP and its 2028 presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim further appealed to all executives, party faithful and supporters to put the contest behind them and work together in the supreme interest of the party.

Also speaking to the media, the newly elected First Vice Chairman, Mr. Bernard Atta Boateng, and the Women’s Organizer, Madam Jackline Ofosua Frempong, expressed gratitude to delegates for the confidence reposed in them.

They pledged to serve diligently and work closely with both victorious and unsuccessful candidates to promote unity, strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and position the NPP for victory in the 2028 elections.

Other executives elected to steer the affairs of the party in the constituency are Mr. George Nelson Gyimah as Communications Director, Mr. Andrews Nuamah as Deputy Secretary, Mr. Yusif Abdalai as Nasara Coordinator, Mr. Francis Nii Adjei as Second Vice Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Asare Gyekye as Constituency Secretary, Mr. Seth Ofori-Dei as Organizer, Mr. Samuel Kwabena Kwafo as Treasurer, and Mr. Michael Osei Mannerman as Youth Organizer.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Hon. Nana Kwame Addo Ampaw Frempong, has issued a congratulatory statement following the successful conclusion of the constituency executive elections.

In the statement, the MP congratulated all aspirants for offering themselves to serve the party and commended the newly elected executives on their victory.

He urged them to lead with humility, fairness, integrity and an unwavering commitment to the collective interest of the New Patriotic Party.

Hon. Ampaw Frempong further reminded party members that while elections naturally produce winners and losers, they should never create divisions within the party.

He called on all members to reject factionalism, embrace reconciliation and work together to rebuild the party, reconnect with the grassroots and position the NPP for a resounding victory in the 2028 general elections.

He concluded by stressing that achieving the party’s vision would require the collective efforts of every executive, polling station officer, electoral area coordinator, patron, youth activist, communicator and dedicated party member, urging all to remain united in building a stronger and more formidable New Patriotic Party in Abuakwa North.
