Kumasi Archdiocese Moves to Equip Catholic Media Practitioners in First-Ever Digital Evangelization Workshop

Kumasi, Ghana– In a strategic push to enhance Church communication, the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi will convene its maiden Media Workshop on Friday, 1st May, 2026, bringing together church media teams, bloggers, and content creators from across the Archdiocese.

The one-day workshop, organized by the Archdiocesan Media Office, DEPSOCOM – CAK Media, responds to the growing influence of digital platforms in faith formation and public discourse.

According to the official invitation signed by Director Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Effah Adjei, the training will address three critical areas: strengthening media professionalism, upholding ethical standards in communication, and leveraging digital tools for effective evangelization.

Archbishop Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye is scheduled to deliver a special address at the event.

His remarks are expected to highlight both the opportunities and challenges of modern media, particularly its role in spreading the Gospel and the risks associated with its abuse and misuse.

The Archdiocese has described the programme as its “maiden” edition, signaling plans to make it a regular formation activity for Catholic communicators.

Organizers are asking each church media team to nominate at least two representatives to ensure broad participation and knowledge-sharing at the parish level.
