Elderly Man Found Dead on Offinso Asamakama High Street

Offinso, Ashanti Region – May 3, 2026  .Tension gripped Offinso South Municipality Monday morning after the body of an elderly man, believed to be in his 70s, was discovered on Asamakama High Street in Offinso.

According to eyewitness Mr. Amponsah Prince Asante, the man was found unresponsive along the street. As of press time, no family members or relatives have come forward to identify him.

“At the moment, there are no family members to be found,” Mr. Asante told reporters at the scene.

Residents gathered at the location as authorities responded. Police from Offinso South Municipal Command are expected to convey the body to the morgue for preservation and autopsy while investigations continue to establish the cause of death and the identity of the deceased.

Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have information about the man or his relatives to contact the Offinso South Police.
